The Singing Statesmen Fall Concert
You're Invited!
Event: UWEC Singing Statesmen
Date: Saturday, November 23, 2024
Time: 7:30 p.m. doors open at 7:15 p.m.
Location: Gantner Concert Hall, Haas Fine Arts
A nationally recognized tenor-bass ensemble, The Singing Statesmen take the Gantner stage to perform a diverse array of vibrant and engaging choral music. Statesmen alumni are warmly invited to join the students on stage to close the concert with Ron Jeffers’ “I Have Had Singing” and the Songs of the University.

University Band Concert
Join the musicians of the University Band on Monday, Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m. at Gantner Concert Hall as they perform their concert for the semester. University Band will perform a selection of standard repertoire for the concert band and will feature approximately 120 student musicians from the campus community. Prof. David Lofy, conductor. UW-Eau Claire Holiday Concert
The UW-Eau Claire Foundation and Department of Music and Theatre Arts present the 50th annual Holiday Concert to fill you with a festive spirit that lasts throughout the holiday season. Join us Sunday, Dec. 8 - shows at 2 and 5:30 p.m. Tickets on sale Oct. 1 at The Pablo Center. Voted as “Best Holiday Performance” in Volume One's Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll and featured by PBS Wisconsin this year, the concert will include performances by the UWEC Wind Symphony, University Orchestra, Concert Choir, Women’s Concert Chorale, the Singing Statesmen, Symphonic Choir, and more. Proceeds from the Holiday Concert are used to support scholarships for UW-Eau Claire students involved in the music department. Tickets on sale now through the Pablo Center at the Confluence.

UWEC-BC E.A.T.S.
What is EATS? Educational Assistance Through Scholarship-a.k.a. “The tastiest night in Barron County,” is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025 6 - 9 PM in UW-Eau Claire–Barron County (Commons).
It is a gala evening of gourmet specialties prepared by featured local eateries and UWEC-BC faculty, staff and students.

UW-Eau Claire Shamrock Shuffle 5K run/walk
SAVE THE DATE! This 5k+ fun run/walk is hosted and sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Recreation and Sport Operations and takes place on Saturday, March 8, 2025; a great way to kick off your 5k season! The route starts on UW-Eau Claire’s upper campus, goes down the infamous Garfield Avenue hill, over the scenic university footbridge and follows the river up the beautiful Chippewa Valley River trail. The race is a loop that begins and ends at the McPhee Physical Education Center. This event is open to any fitness level. Online registration will be available soon.
Feeling competitive? We have a race clock at the finish line, so you can time and track your personal progress. Interested in enjoying a scenic run or walk with friends? Enjoy the views at a comfortable pace. Strollers are welcome if you want to make this a fun event for the entire family!

UW-Eau Claire Wisconsin Day at the Sun Bowl, AZ
SAVE THE DATE! Join fellow Blugolds alumni and friends of the Badger state for a Wisconsin picnic in Arizona on Thursday, March 13. This event is open to all Wisconsinites and sponsored by the Wisconsin Club of Sun City. There is a $10 charge payable at the event that includes Wisconsin themed food, beverages, prizes and live music. Wear your BLUE and GOLD to show your Blugold Pride. Be sure to bring a lawn chair to sit a visit awhile. Let us know in advance if you are going to attend, and we'll put your in name in for a door prize. More details on the Sun City website.

UWEC 50th Anniversary-Viennese Ball
SAVE THE DATE! The Viennese Ball is inspired by the historic Kaiser Ball housed in Vienna at the Hofburg Congress Center, the former Imperial Palace and seat of the Austrian emperors. A multi-roomed New Year’s Eve extravaganza in the style of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elizabeth’s “Ball at Court,” the Kaiser Ball features thousands of flowers, wonderful food, and a wide variety of musical events including Salonmusik, Volkmusik, and, of course, orchestras playing Viennese waltzes. The Viennese Ball tickets go on sale in February, 2025.

UWEC Alumni Band Weekend
SAVE THE DATE! Join us at UW-Eau Claire Haas Fine Arts Center - Gantner Concert Hall, Eau Claire. Register to Join the Alumni Band! Join us April 24-27, 2025, for our Alumni Band weekend as we celebrate the University Bands! The weekend will feature performances by the musicians of the Symphony Band and Wind Symphony including concerto competition winners, student conductors, along with rehearsals and performance of the UWEC Alumni Band. There will be time to connect with friends, colleagues, and UWEC faculty (past and present). Dr. Ostrander and Dr. Stewart will lead rehearsals of the Alumni Band on Saturday and Sunday to prepare for the Sunday afternoon concert.
